My Top 100 Songs of the Decade

Posted by riskbreaker

1. Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson (2005)
- Year 2005 was truly Kelly Clarkson's year - thanks to her sophomore album Breakaway she was able to produce hit after hit after hit and Behind These Hazel Eyes was the best.

2. Disturbia by Rihanna (2008)
- I'm not really a fan of Rihanna, and I'm not even a fan of her signature hit Umbrella, but this song is such a masterpiece plus the video is epic.

3. I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic! at the Disco (2006)
- This is probably the most shocking entry on my list for you guys. Who would have thought Panic! at the Disco will have the number-three song on my list, but this song is just amazing. The beat and the tune are both sick!

4. This Love by Maroon 5 (2004)
- No matter how many bands come and rock our world, Maroon 5 will always be my favorite band and This Love will be my top favorite Maroon 5 song. It's a bit bad that the song that made me like them is already their best in my opinion, however a lot of their songs made it to my list.

5. Dead and Gone by T.I. f/ Justin Timberlake (2009)
- T.I. plus J.T. equals an awesome song. The chorus is definitely the highlight of this song but the rap parts are fantastic. I love the whole sense of the song and the lyrics are so good. DAG is such an anthem.

The Hiatus is Over!

Posted by riskbreaker

I've been out for several months now, but I'm back now! So you bettah keep watching right there, 'coz I'm here to slay everyone with this blog! Yay!

My last post here was still during the relief operations after the Ondoy storm.

Sorry for this really really short post, but I'll be back later with a longer post. I might post about the recent albums I downloaded. :))

LoveLots!

A Call!

Last Saturday, Metro Manila and areas around it were hit by Bagyong Ondoy. Many suffered because of this tragedy.

Now, I'm asking everyone to help.

Honestly, last Saturday I had no idea what was going on. I thought it was just raining. I have no idea that there was a storm, probably because there were no signs of it on our place. It was raining hard but there was no flood nor strong wind.

When I turned on the television during the afternoon of Saturday, I was so shocked when I saw the news about the damaged caused by the storm. I felt so sad. It was so heart-breaking to see damaged homes, assets and lives. At that very moment, I wanted to go to those places and help. Until now, I think that it's my responsibility to help those people.

Pictures and footage of this calamity make me cry.

The following day, sadder news came that made me feel so blessed. I am lucky enough that I was not able to experience those things. That feeling heated up my eagerness to help, thus I kept on sending messages to those people I know. I asked them to donate. I also posted shout outs on forums and on my Twitter and Facebook accounts.

I was glad to know that our school (De La Salle University - DasmariƱas) is hosting a relief operation thus, yesterday I brought with me some old clothes and kilos of rice grains to donate.

But I'm not satisfied.

I still think that I haven't done anything yet to help those people.

That night, I tuned it to SNN, and they had this special report called The Stars Give Back. While I was watching it, I felt jeolus with all those celebrities feautured on the report. I was jealous because unlike me, they were able to went on the damaged places and they were able to comfort the suffering people. Aside from that, some of them were able to rescue people. On that very moment, I wished I was a celebrity. I think that I could have done more, if I am a celebrity.

I don't know why I have this eagerness to help.

On the other hand, I'm so proud of being a Filipino. On this time of tragedy, Filipinos are one. The unconditional support and love that I can see is just freaking amazing. Everyone was willing to give a helping hand.

Now, I'm asking everyone to keep on helping. This is not the time to count what we have but, to count what we can give. Donate! Help!

Above all these, let's not forget to pray.

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still and know you are God

The PLURK Experience!!

Have you heard about Plurk?? If not, you're not cool. Lol

Few weeks ago, when I was browsing my Facebook, I saw this link to Plurk. Of course I clicked it, and then I saw Plurk's site. I didn't pay attention 'coz I thought it's just another Twitter.

But few days ago, I got interested to it, so I created my account. And God damn! Plurk is so cool!!! I find it better than Twitter. Soooo better.

Plurk is a social-networking (like Facebook and Friendster) and a micro-blogging (like Twitter) service.

Trivia:
1. The name Plurk is a combination of people and lurk. (cute)

I just hope, I wont get tired of it easily. And I hope of these days, they will have a feature where in I can update through my mobile phone. (Twitter has this feature)

My New Favorite Show!

Posted by riskbreaker

Two days ago, I saw this one-of-a-kind game show called "The Moment of Truth" on the 2nd Avenue channel. And I have to say, it's a nice show.

The drama is so intense. The fact that you have to reveal shocking truths makes the show so interesting.

You better watch it guys! I bet that you'll like it.

It's my new fave show!
